"We treated my sister from Kent, UK to an overnight visit at Mont Fleur after our son's wedding and what a memorable experience! What a pleasure meeting Denise and Lou. Those homemade choc chip cookies were scrumptious. We enjoyed our Blue Olive dining experience recommended by Lou and treasured the magnificent display by the Knysna Loerie mom and her baby. "

"Mont Fleur mediocre and expensive"

(South Africa) Quintin Wait

"The good: Friendly hostess and cleanrooms (in main house) with shower and bath. Average breakfast.

The bad: Compared to other similar rated guest houses, way to expensive and in my opinion, very mediocre. No DStv (only SABC 3 reception). Rooms a bit old fashioned. Only guest house I have ever had to sign an indemnity form. Shower not for tall people, had to bend to be able to shower. Walk to the beach from the house very disappointing and not safe if you have small children."

"Brilliant"

(South Africa) Danie de Kock

"Great place, great people, beautiful view and tranquil atmosphere. We loved it!"

"Very friendly"

(South Africa) Frederic Kuys

"It was a very pleasant stay and within walking distance of the beach and restaurants."

"Kind hospitality"

(Israel) Ronit Turk

"The host, Denise, is extremely kind and nice and made us feel good. Also informed us about the area and restaurants. The room was nice and clean. There is a strong smell of moisture in the room and house that needs to be checked."

"We had a great welcome at Mont Fleur although our hostess was away Lou more than made up for that with his friendliness and helpfulness. We were delighted to discover electric blankets to warm the kids beds as it was very cold! Lou went out of his way to make the children feel important and was very interested in them and they in him - they had great conversations about the World and life in general and of course the World Cup! All the best. We will be back next time we are in Wilderness to sample the genuine American Pancakes. from the Sanders Family, Cape Town. "

"Very cozy stay"

"Pleasant stay at Mont Fleur"

"We were pleasantly surprise by Denise and Lou's hospitality.

The cottage is so cosy and charming. The views of the sea, mountain and forestry is beautiful.

Will definitely add this venue to our list of accommodation of choice."

Our hostess Denise was welcoming and extremely knowledgeable not only about the local area but also about the whole of SA,which helped us a great deal.Wilderness is lovely and Mont Fluer is ideally situated for visiting the town a 10 mins walk away. The accommodation was first class and the breakfast was excellent. It was just a pity we couldn't have spent more time there.I would highly recommend to anyone visiting this area of SA."

The decor was not to my personal taste (rather floral, and very feminine). The breakfast was very good, best on the garden route. The owners were on leave while I stayed, but Christine, who managed the property while they were away was extremely friendly and helpful. Only a short stroll to the bars and restaurants. I felt very safe here."

"We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Mont Fleur. We immediately felt at home with Denise and Lou, they couldn't do enough for us. Denise and Lou gave such good suggestions about where to eat and things to do in and around Wilderness they made our stay complete. We stayed in the superior room which in itself felt like an apartment with lots of space, it was wonderful, so is the large bathroom. The room has the most stunning views of the lagoon and sea. The breakfasts were great too. Fresh fruit, cereal, and a cooked breakfast all of excellent quality....thank you so much for your hospitality we didn't want to leave.

"We had such a fabulous stay at Mont Fleur this weekend which was our "home" while attending a friend's wedding. Our hosts were amazing and went out of their way to welcome us and ensure everything was to our liking. They even went as far as offering gift wrap for the wedding gifts, ironing clothes and doing last minute errands for us.
The breakfasts were divine and it was always a pleasure to speak to Denise, our hostess, and to hear her cheerful and delightful spirit first thing in the morning.
Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. We enjoyed every last minute of our stay - being able to relax and do nothing whenever we could. With just a 5-8 minute walk to the beach (and gorgeous sea views from the stoep) - what more could one ask for. We'll be back!
