In her otherwise very complimentary review Carol Mitchell seems to imply (probably unintentionally) that our produce could be fresher, which is far from true. We have a broad menu and we often serve upwards of 40 people with no problem at all. Our dishes are all cooked to order regardless of the number of diners and only fresh ingredients are used. We are well known countrywide for our good food. Should we ever feel that we are stretched by the size of the menu, we shall change it but for now we are entirely comfortable with the number of dishes on offer and the service associated with it."

"We spent 3 idyllic nights at Rissington Inn at the end of August 2006 with our young daughters (6 and 4) after a hectic time visiting family. It's always worrying booking over the internet but our expectations were exceeded in every respect... The old homestead & rooms are unobtrusively nestled in the bush veld and the homestead looks amazing at night when soft lighting draws you up to the restaurant and pub. Our room was HUGE and there was plenty of space for all 4 of us with 2 queen-sized beds and a lounge area as well as a private stoep.

We loved the outdoor shower and the Victorian bathroom is a lovely, romantic touch. The restaurant was exceptional: the food was home-made, hearty and beautifully cooked and presented. All the ingredients were top quality and attentive staff ensured that each meal was relaxing and enjoyable. We felt rested and rejuvenated after our few days at Rissington Inn and look forward to returning to our "home from home" in the near future."
