"We booked our trip to SA through a tour operator but were not happy with the accommodation they offered in Knysna, so decided to find our own. After reading reviews we booked Amber Guest Lodge and have to say we were not disappointed. After we had made our booking another couple decided to travel with us but unfortunately Amber was full, but Jean very kindly recommended somewhere nearby and they were delighted with the choice.

There were 6 in our party and we were made to feel very welcome. Ted & Jean are excellent hosts even organising a taxi to take us to the restaurant which they also booked on our behalf. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The accommodation is spotless, tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard. Breakfast served out on the patio is a lovely way to start the day. I would highly recommend Amber Guest Lodge as the place to stay in Knysna."

The bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious, luxurious and with all the home comforts that you don't often find such as a fridge and microwave. Jean, your breakfasts were outstanding and we are all counting the cost since arriving home and will now be on diets for the next couple of months.
