"I stayed at Ruslamere for a week at the beginning of December, and was grateful to receive its 4-star professional hospitality with the personal touch of a family-owned business that cares for the well-being of its guests.

This friendly, but professional courtesy extended to making me comfortable even in the most awkward circumstances of me taking ill during my stay. From the room staff to the management, I was treated with concern and care for my every need - which was much appreciated so far from home! It was also very fortunate that Ruslamere is situated so close to the Durbanville Private Medi-Clinic, and that it runs a shuttle service for guests from about 10am - 9pm daily.

Once recovered, I enjoyed the indoor pool / bar environment that provided some interesting evenings of entertainment with a medley of guests (some delegates from Tobago suggested there was an opportunity to export Savannah Lite to their homeland). My tan got a great start at the outdoor pool / loungers and I was pampered at the Pure Day Spa on the premises. Receptions staff would readily research tourism / activity options to explore on request and even arrange / book tours for you which is a marvellous service when you just feel like relaxing and "having things arranged for you".

The dining experience was simple and elegant and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and decent prices of the a la carte (lunch / dinner) and beverages menu's. Whether you choose to stay on a full board or self-catering (bed and breakfast) basis this is absolute value-for-money with great personal attention to guests' needs."
