Brand new, upmarket and architecturally designed Lala Panzi B&B offers four luxury suites and a large flatlet with a modern African atmosphere and stunning vistas of the Indian Ocean and the Tsitsikamma Mountains. It is located in Plettenberg Bay on South Africa’s famous Garden Route, a short walk from the beach.

Lala Panzi BB stands for “to lie down, relax and feel at home”. This mind-set towards holidaying has guided the entire design of the owner-architect. The German engineering resulted in an energy conserving design, minimising the CO2 footprint wherever possible. The B&B uses imported, high insulation windows, extra insulation in roofs and walls, heat pumps in combination with solar heating for warm water generation and rain water harvesting to water the own herb garden. This eco-friendly design gives a cosy, warm feeling during the cold season and keeps the heat out during the hot season. The suites are located on the first floor and have generous sizes with top quality beds and luxury bathrooms and will pamper the guests during their stay. The large flatlet is located on the ground floor and comprises of a living room, a bedroom with a top quality bed, a kitchenette and a bathroom. The setting is architectonically augmented with very large sun terraces to make the best use of the unimpeded view. The use of glass and stainless steel for the terrace is contrasted by the use of solid, indigenous woods for the communal areas and in a thatched Boma as well as in the spacious guest suites. All rooms and the flatlet are overlooking the Boma and a large, solar heated salt water pool.

In-Room facilities include: free 24 hour Wi-Fi with uncapped Internet access, LCD 42" flat screen TV with Multichoice hotel package, DSTV, refrigerators, coffee & tea facilities, hairdryers, fans, selected comfort mattresses, hypo allergenic pillows, Luxury percale cotton bedding, electronic safes and extra warm winter blankets.

Establishment facilities include: Access to large, semi-private terraces with sun loungers, table and chairs. Access to the Boma with an integrated BYO pool bar (The one and only in Plett). Easy access to the pool. Short walks to the beach, shopping facilities and restaurants and secure parking.

The newly completed B&B is superbly finished to very high level with amazing features like double glazing to keep out the summer heat and specially imported German sliding doors and windows that provide free airflow while retaining the highest level of security. These are all wonderful features that I thoroughly enjoyed, however the warm hospitality from the owners, Ryno and Hendrietta, was the true highlight. Always obliging with advice and guidance, booking restaurants for me during the busy holiday season and laying on a superb breakfast that was individually specially prepared from a different menu each day. I highly recommend Lala Panzi and will most certainly visit with Ryno and Hendrietta again soon. "
