The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the scenery is breath taking and the accommodation is exactly as it's advertised so there are no nasty surprises or unexpected drawbacks. It's close enough to Dullstroom for popping in and out for a bite or a visit, and the actual drive between the two is just stunning. Definitely coming back here again."

"Lovely setting, friendly, efficient staff. We settled for the cheapest 6 sleeper chalet. Was well equipped and warm with an unexpected fire place outside. The bedding however was seriously old as was the bathroom, although it was clean and everything worked.
Next time we will upgrade to the thatched cottages as hopefully they will be a bit 'younger'."

"The scenery there is beautiful."

"The rondavel was a bit cold. We also did not know that the ablution would be seperate , but we adjusted to it.
The ablution can maybe be upgraded.
The gravel road was also at some places very bad, so it can also be scraped maybe."

The braaiplace at the cottage needs a serious upgrade, we couldn't braai as the grid was way to high to heat the meat and lots of the other braaiplaces were not cleaned properly. The fireplace also does not air properly, ..."

The photos on the website does not actually do this place justice. We did not catch any trout, but went mountain biking on the well maintained dirt roads. Before leaving, we took a casual hike to the top of the koppie that has a beautiful view of the dams and farm.

If it was not for the other guest's dogs barking at us in front of our unit, I would return any day and would recommend it to anyone. SafariNow website does not indicate that this is a pet friendly establishment.
Establishment Response:
Thank you for your review. We apologies that the other guests dogs bothered you. We will definitely make guests aware of that in future."

Using the heated swimming pool and jacuzzi was particularly decadent."

"Lieflike"

(South Africa) Estelle Taljaard

"Lieflike uitsig, pragtige damme

Ablusieblokke kort dringend aandag of net 'n baie goeie skoonmaak en sal ook beter vertoon. Breekware in rondawels kort aandag."

"Great experience"

(South Africa) Greg Talbot

"What a great experience to stay on a working farm, and see the farmer go up and down feeding his animals and daily chores. The Elandskloof valley is absolutely breath takingly beautiful. It was our first time trout fishing in the many dams, we also enjoyed the horse ride."

"Enjoyed our stay"

"Ek was baie ingenome met die plekkie. Ons het baie lekker geslaap en die mense is baie vriendelik en behulpsaam. Ek sal weer en weer soontoe gaan.

Net een negatiewe punt, die warm water swembad is baie aangenaam maar daar moet warskuwings borde op gesit word dat die warm kook water aan die onderkant van die trap uitkom. Ek het my kuit amper verbrand met die kookende water.

I was very impressed with the place. We slept really well and the staff are friendly and helpful. I will return again and again.

A small negative aspect, the heated swimming pool is very pleasant but a warning board should be placed stating that the boiling-hot water runs into the pool at the bottom of the stairs. I almost burnt my calf on the scorching water."

"Enjoyable, affordable accommodation"

(South Africa) Patrick Watson

"We stayed at Elandskloof for four days in the farmhouse which sleeps 11. The furnishings were acceptable, but what made the holiday really good was the scenery, the affordability, the helpfulness of the staff, the heated swimming pool and the fly-fishing. A great place to unwind and relax."

The establishment in general is very tidy and well looked after but I was not so happy with the chalet (accommodation) as I had a crawling 11 month old and the chalet was not clean, there were a lot of spiders and cobwebs, I was very uneasy at night, it was very old but I see they are busy renovating and the new chalets looks much better, they also used that photos on the website, so pictures can be very deceiving, but we still enjoyed the stay and would go again, but stay in a newer Chalet."

"Could not have imagined a better way to enter 2016... Breath-taking scenery, roaming animals, fresh air, it is heaven on earth for children and adults alike. The short hike to the quaint little waterfall was just enough to make you appreciate the cool water and the kids loved playing in the stream.
When my three novice little fisherman weren't busy trying to land a big catch, they were in the pool, or on their bikes and did not once utter the words "TV" or "I'm bored".
The pool is covered, heated and has an incredible view!
Farm animals roam free and we befriended the local donkey whom the kids lovingly named "Dave"
Accommodation in the chalet was basic but clean, the units are serviced, and only a stone throw away from the dam.
The power outage we had the last night just added to the ambiance and I would not hesitate booking at one of the units without electricity next time.
I can't help but think this part of Dullstroom must be what heaven looks like.
"

" MOST BEAUTIFUL TRIAL RUN IN THE MEANDER HIGHLANDS EVER"

(South Africa) Annemarie

"When I entered for the 10 km marathon and booked my accommodation I never in a month of Sundays could have guessed the beauty and serenity of Elandskloof. Accommodation was practical and very clean. Ablution blocks always had hot water and were regularly serviced because of the race. "

Where else is it so quiet. Cut off from everything. Visit was delightful, some energy wasted to attempt to fish, do not believe there is really fish. We were not so lucky. The ostrich and donkey brought a lot of fun and pleasure.
