Victoria West is in the heart of the Great Karoo, about 615km from Cape Town. The area boasts a fantastic variety of bird species for nature lovers with several trails, including the renowned evening walk.

The Karoo is famous for our hunting facilities and a wide variety of sort after buck species.
Here you will find Victoria’s Pride Guest House who will present you with affordable comfortable peaceful five star quality ensuite rooms.

Guests have a choice between nine units, consisting of double and single beds. All units are equipped with TV’s (1, 2, 3, e-TV & M net). In every room we have fridges, coffee and tea facilities with homemade rusks or biscuits. Microwaves are available if needed. We promote a smoke free environment, and guests are welcome to smoke outside. Some units consist of air conditioning - if it is a requirement please inquire beforehand. Other units are equipped with fans. In winter there are electric blankets on all the beds for the cold winter nights and heaters are installed in some units without air conditionings to keep our guests snug and warm. The rooms is decorated with a warm and relaxed feel for your comfort. Your room comes with a standard 5 star quality mattress & pure cotton percale linen.

We are also child and animal friendly. Pets (house trained) allowed on prior arrangement. Meals, braai packs or lunch packs can be arranged on request. We do accept credit cards

The Moonlight Hill walking trail provides a panoramic view of our whole village and has interesting bird life. It is also home to the Black Eagle and indigenous plants. The Karoo has an estimated 7000 plant species, which is three times higher than that of the United Kingdom. The surrounding area is the habitat of the Riverine Rabbit.

Here you will have real comfort and it's very affordable for any family. If you really want a peaceful nights sleep then this Guest House is for you!

"Lovely, comfortable accommodation that is animal friendly. Arranged in advance that my dog would sleep with me. Everything was clean and tidy in room. It was freezing cold in Victoria West even though it was supposed to be summer. The bedding was warm, bed was comfortable and I slept wonderfully."
