"We stayed at Clifton as we had some business to attend to in the area. On arrival we were greeted by Patsie with a very warm welcome and enquiry on our trip. She showed us to our chalet and explained a few things like the remote which gave us access to come and go as we pleased.

The chalet was very neat and clean and had a good view over the valley toward the sea. Only drawback - the view also includes a section of the N3 highway.

A real farm feel is achieved with horses, donkeys and chickens roaming around.

The shower works with gas so a hot shower is available at all times. From the verandah one could watch the sunrise or quietly enjoy sundowners after a busy day.

Mountain bikers will enjoy Clifton, it has various trails down to the dam and around the property. It looks quite challenging. I believe they host a MTB race or definitely the property is used in sections of annual races in the area.

We had an enjoyable stay and would recommend it as a B&B or for self-catering."
