BloemhofKaroo is a historic home, once owned and loved by Professor Christiaan Barnard. The Homestead rests graciously in an oasis amongst kopjes on a working farm in the Malaria free, Northern Cape, Great Karoo.

BloemhofKaroo is the ideal retreat for relaxing and rejuvenation of the soul, the perfect escape for:
• Family Getaways,
• Overnights stops en route the N1 from Johannesburg to the Coast,
. Hiking Cycling Mountain Biking
• Artists,
• Writing Workshops, and
• Photographic Getaways

There are 3 lovely rooms in the main homestead, and the Blue Room in quaint farm outbuildings. Guests can relax in the Drawing Room, with a well-stocked characteristic bar, opening onto a protected Braai area. There are 2 Dining Rooms, and a Sunroom, so guests have opportunities for privacy or communal enjoyment. Lovely outside sitting areas, under enormous Pepper Trees. Refresh yourselves in the farm Swemdam.

Excellent 3 course dinners served each evening at an extra cost and light luncheon menu available.

BloemhofKaroo is also proud of its beautiful Chapel, converted from a shed several years ago, and built entirely from rock taken off the farm.

"Our first impressions were formed when we arrived to be greeted by Myre and Steven, waiting on the verandah for us. Myre showed us to our room, explained everything to us so we were well informed. We stayed in the Oxwagon room which was large and comfortable. The whole establishment was beautifully furnished and exceptionally clean and tidy. Dinner was superb! Late at night we went for a walk. The night sky was breathtakingly awesome! The multitude of visible stars and galaxies were truly awe inspiring! We shall visit this beautiful, well run little heavenly spot with its heavenly grandeur as often as we are able to."
