It is breathtakingly beautiful. We went for walks every day around the farm and through the campsite and the vineyards. It is just so peaceful there.

It was a perfect getaway. It was very sad leaving there but we will definitely be going back again.

The admin staff welcome was warm, Haiko was more concern with our comfort and stay at the farm.
He made sure that we had bare necessity of wood and charcoal. He explained everything on the route which turn will lead us straight to the tents. It was clear from the start go what his prime goal was for us to enjoy our stay. The more I wanted to attend to outstanding balance to settle then relax, unlike other entities business first then pleasure, this was not with Haiko his whole intention was to side track me and have us settled in and enjoyed the farm. This set-up caters for person like my husband, who doesn't like camping. I gave hubby little information as possible when he saw the tent set-up with bed and lights, boiling kettle this changed his mind to camping inside of tents. The layout is set in such a way that its central outside, loo fitted with showers, hand-wash, clean towels the en-suited with complete kitchen, utensils, toasters, cutlery, running water cold and warm, infact sufficient on everything you can think of. You need not to bring extra except yourselves. Privacy is guaranteed. You feel safe even with walking from your tent to the toilet in the middle of the night. The price is definitely under-quoted and for every cent spent was well worth it. I was so afraid the other campers might complain of the noise for blowing my horn (shafor) but Haiko mentioned nothing of the sort. Check-out was as pleasant as checking-in. I reminded Haiko I needed to settle and he send me the receipt as promise.
He wished us a save journey and I added that we ending of with zip-lining through Ceres then heading home.

Langdam Farm is truly spectacular with amazing hosts, Glenda and Charles, who get involved in showing you around but are not "all over you". We had a big group of 13 adults and 3 children which included family from the UK and New Zealand. They were overwhelmed with the beauty and tranquillity of the farm. The central lapa was ideal for an evening braai looking over the dam and onto the hills and mountains. Truly spectacular. Each family had their own cottage, with the recently married couple, the honeymoon suite. It was absolutely comfortable and I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a group get together or a quiet romantic weekend away. Truly beautiful. I am sad I live in Jhb as I would be up there every weekend if I could!! :)
