Set in the fynbos gardens with glorious views, bird watching from each balcony is an added relaxation. If you would prefer to have a beautiful view to look at while enjoying your meal we provided two comfortable chairs and a table on all your balconies. The wooden cabin design gives a feel that you are truly somewhere in the wilderness.

The adjacent forest offers numerous recreational opportunities, including mountain biking, walking trails, bird watching and picnic spot in pockets of indigenous forest and pine plantation. Our quests can sharpen their golfing skills on our chipping and putting green, but we also compile golf packages with transport and meals included to cater for guest who would enjoy venturing out to one of numerous golf courses in the area. A swimming pool is also provided for your entertainment. We do have internet access at the restaurant.

ArendsRus kitchen staff is dedicated to serving delectable cuisine in a beautiful, comfortable setting. The restaurant is open for breakfast lunch and dinner (Dinner per appointment).

Our sunsets are savoured with as much relish as our restaurant's traditional South African dishes which are crammed full of our own fresh herbs and vegetables.

Just minutes outside George, the capital of the Garden Route, ArendsRus is within one hour’s drive of most Garden Route attractions, from Oudtshoorn and the Cango Caves, to Mossel Bay’ famous Diaz museum, the wilderness lakes district and Knysna’s alluring lagoon. We are also just 20 minutes away from the closest beach

If you long to relax and recharge your batteries, Arendsrus definitely is the place to be just to stay put and absorb the beauty and tranquility of the setting. On arrival you actually feel the peace embrace you.

After a warm welcome you are further delighted when shown your spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished log cabin and are amazed at what is being offered for the price you are paying.

Even before settling in, you immediately sit on the deck on stilts looking at the “forest” below, and the farmlands in the distance, sipping a glass of complimentary sherry. Further surprises await when you are served the most delicious, affordable, home cooked meals.

Take slow lazy walks towards the Outeniqua mountains and rejuvenate your soul. During our trip we stayed in 8 different places - one being a flea pit, Arendsrus was the second cheapest and the second best according to hubby, best according to me. Arendsrus truly is a little piece of heaven here on earth.
