All the cottages are serviced, self-catering units with all bedding, linen, bath towels, kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery and glasses supplied. The cottages each have a spacious and comfortable lounge area with an open Jetmaster fireplace, a dining table, a fully equipped open plan kitchen with an electric stove, microwave oven, a fridge (with a separate freezer compartment) and a dishwasher.

Each cottage is equipped with a Sony stereo TV and DVD player, and are now, all connected to DSTV’s Commercial package which basically consists of M-Net, 6 Movie and 7 Sports channels as well as SABC 1, 2, 3 & E-TV. The Guest Suite has full DSTV.

The cottages have large comfortable bedrooms, with queen-size beds and the larger cottages also have two single beds in the spare bedroom. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, complete with bath and separate shower, and for your comfort during those crisp winter mornings, under-floor heating.

The large patios, each equipped with a Weber braai, make them the perfect setting for an outdoors meal and sundowners, combined with a panoramic view of the Midlands.

Breakfast is available on request at an additional price.

Arrival is anytime from 14:00 hours until 21:30 hours with departure before 10:00 hours. If you would like to come earlier or later please make prior arrangements with us.

We require a minimum of 2 nights over normal weekends and 3 nights over long weekends.

"We recently spent 1 night at Lions River Country Cottages on our way to the coast. We were accommodated in the Lavender Cottage. What a pleasant surprise we had on entering the cottage.

The furnishings and appliances are of the very highest standard. Free tea and coffee was provided as well as an abundance of fire wood for those chilly evenings. The big comfy bed had an electric blanket, there was a fully equipped bathroom with plenty of hot water.

The hosts Tony & Ann are a call away for anything we needed to know. The peace and quiet of the venue is something to be experienced! Even the little duiker ventured into the garden to browse without feeling threatened by our presence. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Lions River Country Cottages to anyone who wants a lovely, peaceful, well appointed venue for a get away from the city. We will definitely visit again but for a longer stay next time.
