Experience a unique inexpensive bushveld holiday. Getaway Bush is situated on a Nature Reserve called Marloth Park which borders the famous Kruger National Park, in South Africa.

This rustic self-catering holiday home has all the comforts you need to relax and enjoy Africa at its best. The Crocodile River is 100m walk from the house.
No fencing is allowed around the houses in Marloth Park, so the animals roam freely. Animals such as Giraffe, Zebra, Kudu, Wildebeest, Impala, Warthogs and many more. Abundant bird life is seen, especially in winter months. Wake up to the cry of the fish eagle flying overhead or the chatter of monkeys. Experiencing a true feeling of Africa.

FREE WIFI - FULL DSTV included in the rate. An ideal self-catering family unit, that sleeps 6 guest (ideal for 4 adults and 2 children). There is a cottage, if you would like to bring more guests, up to 4 guests extra (at extra charge) if you do not require the cottage it REMAINS EMPTY FOR THE DURATION OF YOUR STAY. THE COTTAGE IS FOR YOUR USE ONLY.

Relax and view the animals from within the air-conditioned house or cottage or laze outside by the lovely paved entertainment areas. The entertainment area is safely enclosed to cater for those who are afraid of the animals or families with children. Cool down under the outside showers or splash pools, great for hot summer days. While sitting around the fire (boma) in the evenings, Lion, Hyena and Hippo are often heard. There are bush babies that live in the tree top overhead and at dusk they come out to play. A Civet cat is a regular night visiter.

Watch the fireflies flicker past, certain times of the year. There is a special ambiance on full moon nights and the starry nights are spectacular. Take a 10 kilometres drive along the fence in Marloth Park, which borders the Crocodile River/Kruger National Park, it is not uncommon to see a few of the Big 6 (Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino or Hippo). There are many very large Crocodiles in the river and can be seen basking in the sun. If you are lucky you may see a lion kill. Another bonus is the warm low veld winters, when more animals are seen.

In-room facilities:
Main bedroom: King size bed and a full bathroom (shower and a bath), Air-conditioner, ceiling fan and large windows, for pleasurable game viewing.
Second bedroom: Ensuite with a shower, two single beds / or King Size bed, air-conditioning and a ceiling fan.
Third enclosed bedroom: Two single beds ideal for children.

Establishment facilities include: Open plan lounge/Dining room/Kitchen, Air-Conditioning throughout the house. Kitchen - fridge, deep freezer, electrical stove, electrical geyser, ice machine, microwave, ice machine, toaster, crockery, cutlery etc.

Linen and towels are provided. Please bring your own swimming towels.

FREE 3 x week house cleaning, extra cleaning available.

A car port for 2 vehicles and armed response security.

Entertainment area: 120 square meters enclosed area with a Lapa 6 x 6 metres, 8 seater wooden table under the Lapa, dart board (bring your own darts), comfortable lounge suite under the Lapa, fan under the Lapa, Braai / Boma / Barbeque, outside shower, splash pool.A portable day bed can be placed where you want it, in the sun or shade. There is a Jungle Gym and Sand pit and lawn in the kiddies play area.

You can safely sit outside and enjoy the sights and sounds of the African night. Lion, Hyena and Hippos are often heard while sitting outside. The Crocodile River is about 100 meters from the house to view any of the Big 5 / 6 in the river.

"Will send you some pics, we had a Kudu, Zebras and lots of monkey`s visiting us at the cottage. Absolutely amazing time. Nathi (the cleaner) was extremely helpful, we tipped him well. Will definitely call you again. The place was absolutely fabulous and everything was just fine. I accidentally broke one of the coffee mugs - is there something that I can do to replace?

Nb: looked for a visitor`s book to see what other visitors experienced, maybe a tip for future visitors.

"The house is built for families who love the Lowveld and bush experience. Lush green trees and shady surroundings right around the unit and several waterholes next to the house with regular visits from kudu, zebra, warthog, vervets, chachma, blue wildebeest and a variety of feathered friends. At night you hear the lions roar, and the night jars late at night when all is quiet. House owner Nita is extremely helpful and accommodating and I will definitely be back."
