"We had a wonderful time. Everyone was very friendly and caring. Definitely a worthwhile experience. Thanks for having us, and making a very special birthday, even better by baking me a delicious cake. Lynn and Hazel."

It was very quiet while we were there so we had Anand, the game ranger, to ourselves - he was extremely knowledgeable and there was nothing that he did not know! Janine was also kind and made sure that our needs were always satisfied. Thank you so much for making our stay in Africa a wonderful experience. We hope to return one day to see the lions!"

"Safari at Rhino Lodge"

(United Kingdom) Les Adair

"We were a group of nine from Northern Ireland that stayed in Rhino Lodge over a weekend. The staff could not have done more to make our stay an enjoyable one. Issac is a gem, he took us on Safari, and we enjoyed good sightings of elephant, hippo and black rhino. Rooms and food were great."

And if I just could give an advice to all the people around, take the full package with breakfast/dinner and gam..."

They even told us when an elephant had been sighted on the other side of the river and asked if we wanted to go. Of course we did. They were friendly, helpful and obliging. Anyone wanting a truly wonderful experience, I would recomment Iqina. Price range is affordable and amenities more than adequate. Everything you want and more."

"Excellent place to stay to get in touch with South African nature in a responsible way for everyone: nature & people.
Beautiful reserve, excellent guides, harmonic location, delicious cuisine, good starting point for visits to other reserves around, support of projects for nature and locals. Encouraging how tourism and this can work out together.
No mass tourism. Completely in the bush (with all that is required). Very comfortable.

"Excellent accommodation in spacious bed/sitting room & good size bathroom with generous walk-in shower. The thatch roof & deck sitting area blended in naturally with the open feeling of surrounding grounds. Early risers could enjoy the families of monkeys & warthogs passing though the lodge site expecting some leftovers.
Intimate dining & bar area with continuous attendance service could be quite romantic if staff had been just slightly more discrete. General service was very good from friendly & helpful staff. The food quality was adequate without being noteworthy - perhaps being the only two guests on our first night accounted for this.
Safari drives were informative & sightings of various antelope & rhino were good including a black rhino on our last drive enhanced with "sun downer" stops. The lack of elephants & cats was surprising but as we had spent a week in Kruger this did not worry us too much. A greater number of elephant giraffe & maybe more cheetah could make drives more exciting - but as this is a black rhino re-hap project there are possible reasons to keep other game variety down for the time being?
Rhino lodge has a good natural and non-commercial intimate feel to it and this SHOULD NOT be spoilt by too much expansion. "
