"It was an absolute pleasure meeting Geraldine, Brian and Sean, they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Taking my family on the barge, assisting them with fishing , even teaching us how to throw a net to catch fish and prawns and lures etc, assisting with canoes, providing us with water and lamps when UGU municipality was off the one day. I can honestly say it was the most relaxing stay with plenty of outdoor activities. Our family is definitely going back.

We were woken up every morning to the sound of the fish eagles and sipped our coffee (or had a picnic) on the swinging bench-chair right alongside the river and enjoyed the tranquility and natural beauty of the area.
The accommodation was perfect: the kitchenette, while small and basic, was well equipped with everything we needed for self-catering.The 2 double beds were very comfy and warm. Our LB actually chose to sleep upstairs which meant we slept in the 'lounge' area, but then we could then have our lights on and not disturb him once he fell asleep.Brian and Geraldine, the hosts, were very friendly and informative about the area, giving us great restaurant tips (Jaxx is a must and the Fish shop at the 'waterfront' for lunch on the river). Brian introduced our LB to line fishing and took us out twice on his boat up the river, where we saw a turtle and the 'Fish Eagle restaurant'....Ask Brian to show you.We'll definitely be back next year!"
