"Tranquility at its very best!"

"Being so close to nature was the best stress relief I felt in a long time. Most beautiful surrounds and most hospitable host and hostess. Will definitely go back."

"We booked this Lodge as a stopover between Kempton Park and St Lucia, as the guys wanted to try their hand at trout fishing.

Luiperdkloof consists of 2 self catering 'chalets' (more like small houses!) situated on a working catlle/sheep farm situated between Utrecht, Vryheid and Wakkerstroom close to the Natal Battlefields. As we drove up we were greeted by huge flocks of sheep with loads of lambs. On leaving we were surrounded by an equally huge herd of cows with their calves - some looked barely a day old.

Each chalet has 2 bedrooms both en suite, one queen size bed and the other 2 singles. The lounge/kitchen area is open plan with a fireplace, couch, couple of chairs and a pull down. Kitchen area has full oven, microwave, kettle and fridge/freezer and a hospitaility tray with tea, instant coffee & sugar - no milk or creamer. Everything was beautifully clean with enough crockery and cutlery for 6 people in each chalet

Large verandah with table and seating for 6 plus a nice free standing braai (BBQ). Wood was provided as well. Both chalets look over the huge dam which is stocked with bass and trout.

The views are to die for and the setting is peaceful and tranquil and to top it all off, we even had one of the Jack Russells 'guard' us for the night!! In fact he escorted us to our chalets and did not leave!!!

Photos on the website do not do it justice and we will definitely visit again but for at least a couple of days"

"We enjoyed the location, the remoteness, Sundowners
overlooking the dam. Farm strolls."

"We spent one night at Luiperkloof Trout Lodge en route to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi park from OR Tambo airport. We got lost nearby and arrived at 8pm, which was a pity because the next morning, we awoke to stunning views front (beautiful dam) and back (cows and sheep). The accommodation is spacious (for 4), clean and well laid out with very nice self catering facilities. The hosts and their 2 dogs were great. It's a great place to relax as it's so peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend this place. One night was not enough!"
