Tingala Lodge's veranda offers spectacular views of the pristine bushveld beauty and excellent game viewing opportunities as elephants, antelope, zebra and other animals come to quench their thirst at the three waterholes, a mere stone's throw away from the verandas, whilst the invitingly cool swimming pool and gentle breeze open you up to a world of tranquil luxury in the wild.

The self-catering Tingala Bush Camp is completely in the wild, with no fences so nature alone forms the boundaries. It gives you a true African experience as the animals are free to roam right up to the camp. The camp is relaxed and informal and offers you a unique bushveld accommodation and safari experience at the best possible price.

Tingala Lodge comprises a dining and sitting area, fully equipped kitchen, braai area, 5 comfortable bedrooms that open onto a big open to the bush area that looks out onto the unspoilt bush. Guests are often thrilled by the marvellous sightings of game passing by and the abundant birdlife is spectacular. In the evening one can enjoy the sounds of the African night whilst relaxing on the open veranda, surrounded by nothing but the night bush and stars.

Our meals are part of your bush experience because great dining is not just what you eat; it’s also where you eat. Breakfast is served on the shady veranda where you can look out into the surrounding early morning bushveld. Dinners are enjoyed sitting around a log fire under the sweeping canopy of stars. Picnic lunches in the bush are offered on our full day safari game drives and there is nothing to beat a sun downer in the bush on an afternoon safari. We can also provide picnics for self-drive tours.

The set up of the lodge is unconventional with a communal way of living. And that is what makes it unique. The architecture of the lodge is beautiful and the scenery is tranquil.

Craig and Ali are the hosts and the warmest people I have met. They add on the extra touch of the experience and go all out to make their guests feel like a part of the family.
