Reviews of Woolly Bugger Farm

"Quiet and peaceful"

Linda Davies

"Lovely cottages - well equipped and clean. Enjoyed the hikes, the 4x4 track to the top of the world and the lack of cellphone signal. A complete breakaway from our busy lives. Will definitely be back."

"Piece of heaven "

Bronwyn Manning

"Neat, quiet, stunning view, such accommodating owners. Like a holiday home. Our little Scottish terrier loved the space. Units are far enough from each other for privacy. We stayed in Sedehog. Very nicely designed and open to great conversation over a warm crackling braai. "

"We loved the farm and enjoyed the fishing. However there were other children there using bread to catch fish which ruined the fishing experience for us.We also felt that being a dog friendly place a little fenced in area would have been ideal. We also had one of your neighbors dogs arrive at our unit on sunday night which caused major disruption with our dogs . The dogs name was Duke if that helps at all. "

"Lovely place with beautiful views and a very clean and well kept little unit. The roads leading up to the farm (+- 30km of unkept dirt roads) are VERY challenging to say the least and for this reason we won't be back"

"A lovely relaxed, quiet space for kids and family. We loved the view and the free space that our kids could run around in closer to our cottage.

Angela & Jono were always helpful and made our stay memorable...Great place for a little break out of the city!"

"If itÕs a place that offers abundance of breathing space, an almost endless view and a quietness to restore the soul, then this place will not disappoint. Wonderful rocks and outcrops everywhere. A nature trail over the mountains, unfortunately we did not get to see the stream and natural pool. I was totally surprised at the standard of cleanliness of the very Quaint and adequately equipped Half Hog cottage.

All the cottages were well positioned to ensure privacy Ð another great plus!

Would certainly not hesitate to re visit this little gem. "

"We had an absolutely, much needed rest and relaxation at Woolly Bugger Farm. The road is a bit tricky to tackle with a low clearance vehicle, but we got there safely, just had to drive slow. The cottage was beautifully set up with everything you could ever need, the bed was so comfy I could have slept there for days. We had a lovely fire in the evenings and watched the sunset which was beautiful. We recommend to truly get the rest you need, is to switch off your phones and stay atleast 3 nights. We will be back soon!"

"Friendly relaxed environment. Kids loved the open space - the treasure hunt, archery, long walks. It was great that we could take our little Yorkie on long walks leash free!

Do not take the road from Dullstroom - very poor condition."

"The Wooly bugger farm GINGER QUILL COTTAGE is the perfect cottage break if you are looking for absolute privacy in nature. The cottage itself is very clean, crisp white linen, and beautiful loungers in the lounge to read your book in front of the fireplace. The one trout dam was still being built so we only had one to fish in but as we know the farm is new, we trust it will be ready when we return. Take a drive up past the main farmhouse to the lookout and you see nature for miles, and loads of buck, wildebeest etc. Will definitely be back. Well kitted out and peaceful as anything. "

The entire farm is very well built and it is well styled, the bar was quite nice as well. It’s just an absolutely fantastic place with amazing view and it was peaceful and relaxing. The staff was outstanding, especially, Jono, one evening the water to our cottage wasn’t working and I called Jono and within 10 minutes the problem was fixed. I was very impressed by the level of service. Thanks for a wonderful time and we would love to come back again soon."

"What a nice place! We stayed there for two days. The place was clean, comfortable, well equipped kitchen with all we needed including a nice big cold fridge, nice cutlery and tablecloth.

The main bed is a king which is very nice and the other room has twin beds with crispy white sheets and towels. The open plan area is spacious and has an eight seater table and two comfortable couches/daybeds on which we relaxed and read our books.

On the stoep is a built-in braai. There is also a fireplace inside which we unfortunately did not use because it was not cold enough. The full bathroom is comfortable and big.

The scenery beautiful and the reception was good. A young woman cleaned the place and she was very friendly. I would highly recommend Woolly Bugger for a good rest and enjoyment. We liked every minute and everything at Woolly Bugger and would like to go back! "
