"It was a last minute decision to stay at in a town approximately half way between the Western Cape and Joburg. With many facilities either fully booked, or failing to reply, we got an instant reply from the Desert Inn.

The family room we had was excellent - king sized bed, allowed both girls to sleep with mom and dad (to our dismay), instead of on their own single beds in the second room.

DSTV was convenient to keep the girls entertained, although they just wanted to roam around outside on the grass.

Summer = mosquito's, so remember to bring tabard with."

"Lovely overnight inn"

(South Africa) Shelley Berning

"Desert Inn is a lovely little gem in Midddelburg; they welcomed us and our puppies for our overnight stay to and from the coast. The rooms were clean and met all our needs. In the self catering section, our puppies were able to play in the grassy enclosed area. Definitely recommended!"

"We were in room 4. Clean with comfy beds and pillows. No major complaints, but some small issues listed below.

Parking space..."

Tiny TV. No tea/coffee to go with the kettle and cups. Window opened onto car port (noisy) and the smell of the owners cigarette smoke drifted in on the morning.

Parking space requires cars to park each other in (we were parked in in the morning and took a while to get out).

Breakfast only served from 8am - late for travelers."

"An oasis in the desert"

(South Africa) ingo seidel

"Desert Inn Guest House is really a good place for a weary traveler to stay over in with friendly and helpful staff that make you feel at home immediately. Rooms are very clean and tidy with the only downside being a bit of traffic noise in the rooms facing the street."
