"I took my girlfriend away for a short weekend break to celebrate her birthday. We loved our accommodations: functional, cozy, and in a setting rarely found. Made from artificial rock to blend in with the natural landscape and rock formations.

The service during our stay was first class; all the staff were friendly and went out of their way to make sure that our needs were attended to. The food was great and we especially liked the fact there were no long lines and preparation time was minimal.

Unfortunately, we felt that there were two couples with very unruly children who spoilt our 'getaway' experience. We were looking forward to a quiet, peaceful break away from the noise and stresses of the city. These parents did very little to rein their children in and so for this reason we felt we could not give our experience the full five stars. "

"We had an excellent stay at Kagga Kamma. The panoramic views are spectacular, the service is outstanding and the quad drive thrilling. If you come to Kagga Kamma to spot a lot of game you may be dissapointed as game is not abundant and in many cases very well camouflaged in the area. The information you get when visiting the bushmen paintings is surprising and quite revealing.

Not to forget, there's an excellent choice of wines to go with the lapa braai. "

"After 40km on a dirt road you're thinking: 'This place had better be worth it.' Don't worry; it is. "After 40km on a dirt road you're thinking: 'This place had better be worth it.' Don't worry; it is. While the game spotting may be nothing to write home about, the scenery more than makes up for it and the amiable guides know their stuff. If you're not an early riser, skip the morning drive and go in the evening. The sundowner experience on the escarpment is not to be missed. Dinner under the stars in the boma is magical; watching the sky run a sequence of enchanting blues into nightfall while the rocks around turn from crepuscular gold obelisks to brooding silhouettes. This is a peaceful, friendly place and I recommend it to those seeking to break their holiday routine with a few tranquil days away from the bustling tourist hotspots."
