Reviews of The St Lucia Eco Lodge

"Unfortunately run down"

(Austria) raija Doert

"This place used to be something Special - we were there in 2002 and definitely wanted to come back. But we found that nice place now 11 years afterwards run down, no renovations made. The personnel were very friendly and helpful. "

"I enjoyed my stay at Seasands Lodge. I would go there again. The staff were great, beautiful garden as well."

"The lodge and the services is good. The only thing is, the kitchen doesn't have enough tableware."

"Very pleasant stay"

(South Africa) Nanette Cocksedge

"Very friendly and accommodating staff. Accomodation pleasant. Any problems were dealt with promptly. The rather large fountain outside room 15 left us wondering every night wether it was raining outside!! We will definately return."

"It's accommodative and homely."

Just a note, you cannot hire snorkeling equipment at Cape Vidal, rather buy at St Lucia and take your own (we were told you can hire at Cape Vidal and had 2 very sad children when we discovered you can't and we weren't prepared to drive all the way back to St Lucia to buy). Accommodation needs a bit of maintenance (ie the towel rail had come off and not been replaced)."

"Lovely place"

(Australia) Diane Banfield

"We spent five days in this lodge. It is by far the best place in St Lucia. The room was wonderful but don't miss out on the bar/lounge above the rest. Organizing for next year for sure."

"No longer 4 Star facilities"

We drove to Cape Vidal, which has the best beach for children, and saw a leopard and many other game on our way. The highlight of our stay was the hippo that came out to graze on the side of our road at nightfall. The staff was very friendly and helpful and provided personalised service. Our only critique is that the linen and towels are really old and unpleasant, even the pillows are smelly. We will definitely go there again, but this time we will take our own bedding, which is not what you should have to do for a 4 Star holiday."

"Very beautiful"

(Netherlands) Dirk Schotman

"It's a very beautiful lodge with nice comfortable big rooms with a balcony and a beautiful view. In the early morning the monkeys run through the garden and jump on the roof."

"A real gem "

Staff at all levels was very professional and friendly.

I would not recommend to make use of Seasands lodge on self catering basis because surprisingly all crockery and cutlery is very limited and for sure not sufficient for preparation even simple meals.

But I would recommend Seasands lodge for stay to all my friends and I would consider for my next visit to St Lucia."

"Long weekend @ Seasands Lodge"

(South Africa) Mpho Msiza

"Sifio & I had a really great time - St Lucia is a true gem in the country. We loved the game viewing and walks on the beach. Seasands Lodge also offered a tranquil place for us to rest when we didnt feel like doing much. "

Rooms were spacious and comfortable, food is superb and all activities coordinated very professionally. We had a gread whale watching, saw plenty of whales playing/jumping, horse rides were perfect as well as the boat trip and the Hluhluwe park and Cape Vidal visit - we saw even a leopard close to Cape Vidal. Clearly a place we would like to come back. "

The hotel is recommendable for a short stay in St Lucia. One lives very pleasantly in two-story little houses, which are completely equipped with kitchen, two televisions and Safe. There is even a tiny pool with a marvelous view in the plant on the rain forest. FrŸhstŸcksbuffet is okay, and to the evening one can eat here also well and inexpensive. The service is super, at the reception can one all possible book. Miss in no case: Snorkels at the Cape Vidal and a navigation on the Lake St Lucia. The city is by the way a harsh disappointment. But therefore is one also not here."

"Our stay at Seasands was the best holiday we could have wished for. The lodge was great, spacious and well equipped. The staff and management were fabulous. They made us feel like long lost friends coming home. The food..... wow, amazing, who wants to self cater when you can eat like kings. St. Lucia as a whole is a paradise holiday spot. Why anyone would want to travel abroad when we have this on our door step, I'm still not sure. The Shaka Barker night drive into the wetlands park was.... I'm at a lost for words... but anyone traveling to St. Lucia needs to try and get on one of their tours, they are great. And we can't forget Advantage tours, the ocean mammals and dolphin tour (although a bit queasy) was just out of this world. So to round this all up with the amazing efficient friendly service and homely feel of Seasands logde, I can definitely say that we will be back...... frequently....

Thank you Seasands, I truly believe that we will have to search far and wide before we will ever experience a holiday like the one we have just had."

My husband and I had a great stay at the Seasands Lodge. We needed a relaxing getaway and we got that and more. Even got in touch with nature.

"Thank you for referring me to Seasands Lodge & Conference Centre in St Lucia.

From the moment that we entered the Reception, we were highly impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of the staff.

We were welcomed as if we were old friends and shown around Seasands Lodge before shown to our own lodge. The self catering lodge has everything you need - from a much needed aircon :-) to the basic utensils. The lodge is cleaned on a daily basis which leaves you more time to do what you really want to.

The lodge has a lovely view of the Wetlands and the sea. In the morning you are woken by the birds singing and at night you can hear the hippos.

Seasands Lodge caters for a quiet get away where privacy is important but also has conference facilities, a bar with a lounge overlooking the wetlands, a restaurant where breakfast and dinner is served, a swimming pool as well as the additional service to assist with booking of tours, etc.

I will highly recommend Seasands Lodge & Conference Centre as THE place to stay in St Lucia.

Thank you Seasands Lodge & Conference Centre for allowing me to share the paradise with you and by assisting in making my honeymoon absolutely wonderful. "

"We had a very pleasant stay at this lodge. The new owners are working hard to up grade the facilities and were very eager and wanting to please. The setting is really amazing and very close to everything. Our walks around the resort were also full of little surprises - A buck here and there, a pair of noisy Hornbills and other animal life topped up a very nice stay.
I will say despite the work in progress to up grade the resort we were very happy with our choice. If we go back to St. Lucia the ECO LODGE will be our first choice again. It can only get better. By the way, we really enjoyed our short stay at St. Lucia."

"We were extremely happy with our two bedroom, two bathroom garden cottage. The bedrooms are very spacious and private from each other. The air-conditioning in the cottage was a great advantage as it was extremely hot over December. Although we did not have a seaview, we were surrounded by the most beautiful gardens and our braai area was private. The staff was always there to assist and the cleaning staff discreetly waited for us to wake up in the morning before cleaning the cottage. A bigger pool and pool area would be a good idea. St Lucia is an amazing destination with so many exciting things to do - from crocodile and hippo excursions to finding a Loggerhead or Leatherback turtle laying eggs on the beach to snorkeling at Cape Vidal to spotting four of the Big Five - It was a great vacation!"

"Seasands Lodge: One of the reason of choosing the place was that I needed a quiet yet relaxing place to spend time with my wife . Seasands Lodge was the place the room was marvellous the view stunning. The owner of the place was so friendly that at one stage my wife thought I knew the owner. We were looked after like royalty. The staff was friendly and were willing to assist at all times. The breakfast was very homely which gave you that comfort and made you relax. Being somewhat of a traveller I found myself feeling that the weekend was very short and that I needed to bring the whole family with. This for me was an experience that I felt needed to be shared with all your loved ones and also to be able to connect as a family in a relax friendly environment.

Seasands staff will make you think you’re in a different world with their constant smiles, friendly manner and willingness to assist. They seem to understand their customers’ behaviour from the first time you interact with them they seem to take notes and know how to look after you.

They should not stop what they do."
