We had a ball and we were really impressed with what we had heard described as the friendliest guesthouse in Cape Town. We went back to Cape Town since but always stayed with friends.
This time, we were going to Cape Town to pick up some 5 members of our French family. This was a really special time and we were too many to stay with friends so we were delighted to hear that Redbourne Hilldrop had space for us for a couple of nights. What a great choice!
After 10 months without seeing our family, having a home away from home from day one of our arrival in Cape Town was really special! We had an amazing time - the girls just love the sparking blue pool and my sister just loved the view! Johnny and Sharon were present just enough to make us feel welcome and just enough to let us take over their house. Sharon even mentioned how nice it was for them to see mobiles, books and other personal items lying around as one does in one's own home. The breakfasts were so large and wonderful that we struggled to leave in the morning. The honesty bar (fridge) was raided quite a few times as we drunk wines and chilled by the pool.
This is definitely a place we will come back to and this is bound to be before 5 years! thanks again!"

"The Redbourne Hilldrop B&B provided us with an absolutely fabulous experience in Cape Town. We arrived after dark and had no idea what the city looked like.

We opened our curtains the following morning and were greeted by THE most beautiful sunrise we have ever seen and a spectacular view of the Victoria and Albert harbour.

The B&B is located in an upscale suburb and was quiet, homey, clean and comfortable. Jonny and Sharon were absolutely delightful hosts, we felt as though we had known them for years.

They gave us very accurate advice on what to see, where to eat and what to avoid. It was a truly great experience for our first trip to South Africa.

We will certainly stay there again on our next trip. "
