Neither had been to EL before and we could not have picked better! We wanted to find and book a place online, not always possible for SA and Rooms for Africa made this happen.

*The location is superb; found nestled in the bend of the hill just off the N2 freeway, looking towards the picturesque and beautiful Nahoon Beach which is only a 5min drive down the road itself. In fact the beach was so good during April that I chose it as the venue for getting engaged.
*The family run B&B are wonderfully friendly and genuine 'staff' who make you feel welcome and provide you with every bit of support and space you need.
*The rooms are incredible - we originally had booked a smaller non-sea facing room which was then upgraded twice; once because of spare capacity and secondly a solar water boiler was being installed so we ended up in the plush suite of a room. But having said that all the rooms were well laid out, modern and the homely environment was comforting. Rooms included en-suite bathrooms in our case and TV's with satellite(DSTV) channels.
*The food in the morning was fresh buffet style breakfast including hot and cold food with 'resident gran' making sure we got the eggs just the way we wanted them and domestic staff friendly, polite and hard-working.

I could not say more positive things about this place and the experience - we will be back there if in EL again and hope they keep the package of value for money consistent as it is their drawcard. Thanks and keep up the great standard.

"My wife turned 50 on the 27th August 2010, and as it was a special birthday for both of us to celebrate, I wanted it to be really special. As we had never been to East London we decided that that would be the destination for this occasion. I scanned the internet and found the web site for Rooms for Africa, from the word go with the staff I felt that both mine and my wife’s best interest were going to be a priority in assisting us with a good and safe place to stay in East London. I was referred to See More Guest House and immediately made arrangements to secure our booking. I was kept up to date from day one and had no concern as to what I would expect on our arrival.

On arriving in East London we were lost and required directions to the guest house, one phone call to the receptionist and we were guided straight to our destiny without any wrong turns, this was wonderful. We had a fantastic time walking along the beaches and collecting shells as souvenirs for our old age.

Our room made us think of the honeymoon which we never had just over 33 years ago, it was luxurious and felt like home away from home. Our belongings were well taken care of and the room was always clean on arrival after a long day sight seeing the unknown. It was nice to experience such friendly staff and people in the area.

In the morning it was delightful to wake up to a lovely aroma of the large breakfast with smells of homemade mielie bread, sausage, mushrooms and toast, our delight was extended on entering the dining area and seeing the enormous variety of eats ranging from fruit to hot meals and filter coffee. The cherry on top of all this was the fact that the owner is involved and ensuring everything is acceptable, what a nice lady.

We have decided that any future plans to visit East London will be at the See More Guest House, thank you once again for a wonderful stay.

A comprehensive breakfast is provided to suit all tastes. Ice from an ice machine is available for use in your room, and an honesty bar is available in the lounge. They have a great selection of DVD's to play in the privacy of your room. The property is secured with an electric fence, and access was easy on returning at the end of the day via a personal remote control. Cars are parked in the property off the street.

I was hugely impressed by Lesley and Chris's effortless welcome to their beautifully landscaped establishment. The bedrooms were second to none with their immaculate detailing; contributing to the excellent ambiance they have creatively established.

The ladies in the kitchen who made our meals deserve a special mention with their discretion, dedication and the pure delight with which they looked after us. For us, as a school group, it beats staying at any hotel and we intend to stay with them when we visit East London/Mdantsane again; for the practicality, the personal touch and making any problems we encountered easy to deal with.

It was a great stay, they were expecting us, so we didn't have to wait long after ringing the doorbell. Lesley and Chris are friendly people who were very helpful and offered to help out if we needed anything more.

The room was well prepared, and had a good view. We also enjoyed being able to go for a swim in the pool to cool off.

A novel thing which we have not encountered before was the choice of DVDs and the honesty bar, we thought that was a nice touch and watched a DVD that evening.

The next morning, breakfast was great, full on 3 course meal: muffins, fruit, bacon, eggs, toast, sausages etc. It was a great way to start the day. There was no chance of us feeling cheated on breakfast.

All-in-all our stay was great, even though it was short. It is very central and easy to get to. I would recommend this establishment to anybody looking for accomodation in East London.

The rooms are very comfortable and has all that a business person needs: internet connection, TV with M-Net, DVD player (the DVD library is incredible with over 100 titles to choose from)- and this makes getting back to the B & B a pleasure after a long day's work.
