Vine Guesthouse (formally Ons Genot) is a luxury country retreat situated on the famous Bottelary Wine route of Stellenbosch, between Hartenberg Wine estate and Devon Vale golf estate. The ideal hub to discover the Cape.

Vine guesthouse offers 12 ensuite rooms, all with bath and shower, Mini bar, TV, safe, telephone, hair dryer, air-conditioner, and private terrace. Comfortably equipped according to European standards, ideal to stay several nights or weeks.

Our rooms are subdivided in 4 categories: 2 Superior rooms, Comfortable rooms with air-conditioner, bathroom with bath and shower, terrace. 7 Deluxe rooms, Comfortable room with air-conditioner, bathroom with bath and shower, private terrace at swimming pool or garden. 1 Executive suite, Comfortable extra spacious room with air-conditioner, bathroom with bath and shower, private terrace with garden 1 Junior suite, a comfortable spacious room with air-con. Downstairs is a little lounge and bathroom with Jacuzzi bath and shower; upstairs is the bedroom with king bed. The room has also a private terrace and is situated along the swimming pool.

Establishment facilities include: tennis court, swimming pool, large garden, secure parking, free internet access, and wireless internet access point.

* Please advise us if you anticipate a late or early arrival as there is not someone at the Front Desk at all times.
* Airport transfers and Tours can be arranged.
* Room 3 and 12 can have an additional single bed added on request.

"Lovely rooms in a charming setting. Early summer but my husband and I were still able to enjoy and relax by the very clean pool after a day visiting local vineyards. Breakfast was wholesome with full option of bacon and eggs which we thoroughly enjoyed. We would definitely recommend Ons Genot Countr..."

"We really enjoyed our stay with Marleen and Eric. They're extremely hospitable hosts who can help you with just about everything you want to know and their rooms are very neat and spacey (I particularly enjoyed the king size bed). Their lodge is an ideal out-of-town getaway with breakfast in a nicely separated 'lounge' area surrounded by an impressive huge garden. To my wife's delight Marleen also speaks fluently French (amongst other languages), rather rare in SA. Definitely one of the best places in the Stellenbosch area and an inevitable stop at our next visit to SA!"

"Nine of us (7 adults and 2 small children) stayed on the evening of the Cape Epic Mountain Bike Race. We rather took the establishment by storm but no noise, excitement or active children seemed to rattle them. We had a wonderful stay with very friendly and helpful staff. Thank You."
