Unfortunately, on a gloomy day, the black ceilings and floors and furniture and generally dim lighting made the place seem rather dark and forbidding. The (upgraded) room was well appointed and the bathroom in particular was spacious, light and efficient. The breakfasts - we stayed two nights - were pleasantly served and adequate, with plenty of choice.

A lovely shady patio with lush planting was unusable because there were no chairs or tables to sit. The garden beyond was simliarly bare. There was therefore nowhere to sit during the day."
