Guillietta and Kevin are kind, welcoming hosts, and of course the complimentary farm milk and eggs delighted our party. There is so much to do at Pumula. We got up at sunrise and took long walks before breakfast, but also chilled out in the clubhouse and round the outdoor pool and indoor spa bath. If Kevin's around you can learn a lot about how a farm operates, and enjoy his jokes.

We still haven't got around to the horse-riding, or done a trip to the ruined castle, or gone on the tractor rides, but that leaves us lots more to do next time. Spring is a great time to visit the farm. We saw three new foals, there were calves and lambs, and of course the friendly dogs who join you for walks and braai’s (barbeques). We just loved it there.

The cottage was well equipped, with the addition of fresh farm eggs and milk, and if we had wanted to, we could have picked vegetables from the garden.
Horses cropped the grass, and there were cows on the hillside.

Our hosts were friendly and helpful, and the cottage was decorated in true African handcraft style - attractive and ecologically sound. We didn't ride horses or do any of the numerous activities available for guests, but we just loved the place. Can't wait to visit again."
