"Nature's Valley is so stunning that is it hard imagine any accommodation could be adequate, but Tranquility Lodge enhanced our visit to this wonderland of birds, beaches and beautiful hiking trails. In the far background is the constant low roar of the Indian Ocean, crashing on the sand and rocks just across the street, while inside the gates of Tranquility guests are soothed by trickling water from one of several fountains and water features. Tropical foliage provides the perfect habitat for dozens of exotic and colorful birds and the many feeders on the second floor dining patio treat guests to first rate birding without the need for binoculars. The food is fresh, inventive and delicious. We enjoyed a perfect lemon meringue pie, expertly prepared klipking complemented by a good selection of local wines. Breakfasts were varied with abundant choices including fresh baked poppy seed muffins with lemon zest, fresh fruit skewers and prepared to order omelets. The rooms with their pristine white linens were immaculate and flooded with light from the large windows which overlook the lush gardens. The delicious homemade rusks were a real treat with afternoon tea on our private terrace. We enjoyed the hot pool, which we reserved both nights for our private use. And the staff were professional and helpful beyond our expectations. It was so difficult to leave and we were positively spoiled by our stay at Tranquility. We look forward to our next visit to this beautiful tropical paradise."
