We really enjoyed our stay however some attention to maintenance of the property and grounds is necessary. The property is looking run down and tired. General daily cleanups such as sweeping the restaurant deck and surrounds is lacking and with the amount of wildlife walking around we were constantly dodging piles of poop. Other than this we had a really pleasant stay and would return one day."

"Areena is a lovely resort. The icing on the cake was seeing wildlife and on the morning we left a giraffe was on the road. The cabins are comfortable and spacious."

"A group of us hiked down the Wild Coast, paddling the last few kilometers to Areena. Although it was winter, with few resident campers, we were treated like royalty and spoiled rotten. The rooms were great, and the catering fantastic. Would happily recommend the facility to any Wild Coast hiker. "
