The re-incarnation as the Duke of Bedford Inn was a huge improvement. We stayed in a suite, with a living room, spacious bedroom, and a kitchenette. Furnishings reflected the olden times, in keeping with the long history of the hotel. We were very comfortable, the food was good, and the pianist playing during our evening meal in the ballroom was a real surprise. Other welcome additions were the lovely outdoor eating area, the swimming pool, and the adjoining interesting shops which opened both into this courtyard and to the street frontage. "

"We spent one night at the beautiful newly renovated Duke of Bedford Inn. The whole experience exceeded our expectations by far! The staff were friendly and accommodating, the rooms are superbly finished and very comfortable. The ladies lounge was a lovely spot to sit and relax with a cup of coffee after visiting the beautiful village Rosarium. Breakfast was wholesome and tasty and a good start to our day of visiting beautiful gardens during the Bedford Garden Show. Will definitely be back again next year. Highly recommended!!"
