"We flew to Cape Town from Johannesburg and decided to start our stay at Gordon’s Bay so that we could drive down to Hermanus / Danger Point and enjoy the Tavern in the Harbour area in the evening.

Le Bay was the perfect guest house and organised as such, we stayed in the double room which had a long ensuite bath and fast running shower. The included breakfast was really good and the price was just right. The owners are very friendly and not at all imposing. The dining/breakfast facility is really nice and there is easy access parking.

Rather than driving straight into Cape Town, I would recommend starting your visit in Gordon’s Bay and taking the coast road to Hermanus, stopping off at Kleinmond and anywhere else that takes your fancy.

We are now in Sea Point and missing that part of the Cape Coast.

I would recommend Le Bay Guest House, as it is really well positioned and is a true Guest House, well run by Phillip and his wife. I did not feel like I was in a hotel or like I was in someone else’s home, it was the perfect balance in between.

My advice start your Cape Town trip outside of Cape Town in Gordon’s Bay or Hermanus and explore the coast a bit first."
