"Mount view is in a good location in Sea Point, 10 minutes drive from the waterfront and the city centre. The property is very safe and secure. It is only a 5 minute walk from some excellent restaurants. Our room was a decent size with plenty of room for storage and the bathroom was also a good size, clean and well equipped. The current drought in Cape Town meant the pool and jacuzzi were closed during our stay but the promenade and beaches with salt water pools were only a 10 minute walk. Joe, the host, was extremely helpful and friendly. Great tips for tours, places to visit and restaurants. Breakfasts were very good and plentiful. Minor downside, no digital TV but hey you're on holiday, get out and enjoy the city"

As I entered the bedroom, OMG! I pinched myself just to verify if I was dreaming or it was real... Oh, I was not dreaming... It is real! Mountview is REAL!!! I HAVE NEVER been to Heaven BUT the bedroom made me feel like I was in "heaven" on Earth. The English breakfast that they serve is divine!

Lastly, I would like to the Mountview staff/employees, who are like one person in different bodies - all forever smiling and friendly too. One would think they are familiar.

Within walking distance to terrific restaurants and the beautiful Sea Point shoreline (and even V&A waterfront), we were in exactly the right place to enjoy the city. Breakfasts were excellent, and all staff were very helpful and friendly. We spent one morning just lounging by the pool outside, and I even took a few photos to reference for home decorating tips. I would readily stay at Mountview again on another visit - it's a terrific deal with everything one could want."
