"On arrival we received a very warm and friendly welcoming from the staff who also ensured that we were comfortable and happy. The Guest house is neat, and has a homely but luxurious feel. We arrived in a cozy pre-heated room that had everything from coffee, tea and snacks to hair dryers and a stunning bathroom.

From the balcony at our doorstep youÕre overlooking the outside pool area which is the perfect place to relax, surrounded by beautiful greenery and a majestic mountain backdrop.

The property is situated in a very convenient location, close to all local amenities including restaurants, boutique shops and Cavendish Square.

I would certainly recommend this establishment to others."

"We stayed there for the Two Oceans and what a pleasant surprise to be 500 m from the start! Winner was an absolute marvel, preparing breakfast for us at 5 am. Thank you again."

Loved the soooft bath towels!

Very enjoyable stay and the fact that we did not have the breakfast option was to our advantage as with two teenage girls in tow we could eat and go in our own time."

"Riversong Guest House is a place of tranquility, genuine hospitality and beauty. I couldn't have picked a better place to stay if I'd taken a year to look."

"I was fortunate to spend 10 days at the Riversong Guest House along with my daughter and husband (although he arrived at the end of our stay). Our rooms were large and beautifully furnished. The owners and staff are quite gracious and made us feel at home and well looked after. They were extremely accomodating with advice about sightseeing as we requested and helped arrange a car lease at very reasonable rates. The location is good for a variety of sightseeing. "

"Riversong Guest House is situated in Newlands, Cape Town, an area of town with nice homes and houses, if you are able to see through the wall fence. So also with Riversong Guest House. It's relatively anonymous outside does not bare any evidence of what will be revealed on the inside.
Once I entered I was approached by the owner Mrs. McManus, which immediately gave a very good impression. The staff presented itself, and also gave a very nice and friendly impression. The premises are impressive, both in color, maintenance, and furnishings.
I was given the "Colonial Room" which is facing the northern slopes of Table Mountain. What a beautiful view I had of the mountain at both sunset and sunrise! The slopes were green and the colors of the sun were spilling on the mountain in full harmony of the mountain and green ground.
After a very good night's rest in the best bed I've been in apart from home, a hearty breakfast awaited me in the lounge, very friendly and pleasantly served.
I fully recommend this Guest House, in which Capetownian hospitality at it's absolutely best has shown itself. If you are looking for a place to rest and recuperate in lavish surroundings with a service and friendliness that you most definitely will not meet in a hotel, Riversong Guest House is highly recommended!
