The pre-dinner aperitif, the white chocolate on the pillow at night (safely wrapped so not noticing won't result in a stickymess) the sparkingly clean car each morning, the closeness to some excellent shopping opportunuties, all go to make this the ideal place for a mini break. Our accommodation was very spacious and quaint which will be loved by any UK visitor. However, our friends' suite required a touch of cosmetic maintenance.
The dining room was very nicely furnished and cute in the candlelight for the ostrich supper. One quibble was that a wine price list was not offered although the estate's wine was excellent. Watch out tall people when you serve yourself from the breakfast bar!
The staff was very courteous and prompt. Our car was washed while we had breakfast. The place was more of a hotel standard rather than just a mere B&B.

"We were disappointed by the cold welcome we received on arrival. We were hurried into our rooms, nothing was explained to us and we were told we would be having ostrich steaks for supper, as if there was no alternative. The comforter on the bed was dirty and the room was freezing.

That said, we certainly enjoyed the attention we received at dinner and indeed the ostrich steaks we had no alternative but to eat. We also sampled the local wit blitz which we thought was a special touch.

We would highly recommend the guest house, if they paid attention to the little things."
