Charming cottage decorated with love & style, firewood provided. One of the best features is an outdoor shower in the sun! Just brilliant! Ride, hike or just relax on the stoep with a book! 5 star!!!!!"

"A special retreat from the city"

"We were looking for a place where we could clutch out from the city, spend some time together and God. As we entered the space we fell in love with it, all was thought about- from the notes and equipment of how to deal with the baboons to the candles and provided, it was well thought through. As we entered the space we fell in love with it, all was thought about- from the notes and equipment of how to deal with the baboons to the candles and provided, it was well thought through. Of course the pool, outside shower, stoep and fire places were incredible. Thank you for making it special!"

"Peace and quiet"

"Wash line for wet towels. The cottage is very comfortable. It would be nice to have wi-fi connection, as Fig Tree House"

"Peace and tranquility"

"Pepper Tree cottage was great in every respect, we just missed a bit of sunshine - the pepper tree has grown to the extent that the house/patio/pool gets almost no sun (from April) - I'm sure a trim can sort that out!"

"2 night stay at Pepper Tree cottage"

(South Africa) Marion McCabe

"Accommodation is private, secluded and peaceful in a pretty valley with mountain walks available. It is equipped with all the basic things one needs for a quiet get away. We would choose to stay at one of the newer cottages if we would return."

We enjoyed hikes along the farm and loved the beautiful bathtub and splash pool. Pepper Tree Cottage has 360 stunning views and we really did not mind not having cellphone reception or a TV as the cosy cottage and views made up for it 100%.
We only wish we stayed longer & hope to return in the summer.

"We loved our stay in Quince Cottage. It's nestled in the mountain foothill, beautiful views, and very private.

Sitting on the veranda you look at the mountain, loads of birds, and bumble bees in the flowers.

The cottage is well equipped, super comfortable, everything works well, fantastic plunge pool.

Liked the place so much we skipped extra wine tasting and just soaked up Tierhoek.

Also - if you like music - the CD player has a USB port, which was nice."

"Privacy rules!"

(South Africa) Deon Welz

"Wow, what a fantastic hideaway, and less than 90 mins from Cape Town. Stone Cottage provides absolute privacy for 2 people in a comfortable well equipped chalet with indoor and outdoor fireplaces and a plunge pool just off the patio. A great place for some spiritual healing. "

"Thank you"

(South Africa) Michael McCaull

"Tierhoek is an AWSOME getaway, just to relax and recharge those batteries. I loved the view and the Baboons that played in the dam early Sunday Morning, just to think this ultimate and secluded getway is only 120 KM from CPT.

Tierhoek will be seeing me again and again very soon."

"Paradise"

(South Africa) Caretha Laubscher

"We had a fantastic romantic stay at Tierhoek. Beautiful place in the middle of paradise. We arrived with the sun shining and woke up with rain. Will return for a longer stay."

"Perfect getaway"

"Remote and peaceful. Wonderful views of the valley and mountains. Quince cottage was very comfortable. A perfect place to relax and get away from the rest of the world. Highly recommended."

"Secluded romantic cottage"

(South Africa) Claire

"Gorgeous cottage with everything you need for a romantic weekend away. You feel completely secluded and can't see any of the other cottages. Lots of fun activities to do in the area. Definitely recommended!"

"Everything was perfect! The views are stunning, truly breathtaking and the cottage itself is amazing. It's got EVERYTHING you would need. Highly recommended! We will be back there :) "

Definitely worth a re-visit!"

"My wife and I were looking for somewhere to go for our 40th wedding anniversary instead of Camping. Its not every day that one gets to such a mile stone in married life, plus we thought the dog 'nina' could come along as well instead of arranging her care at home.

The owners Bruce and Alison kept in contact and offered to provide additional arrangements for our stay. Due to my diet needs we didn't take them up on their offer. Nice to know that their are some kind people out there still.

The place was in a wonderful area surrounded by mountains and a stream at the bottom. Really a paradise setting.

The cottage 'pepper tree' was arranged very nicely with all the important amenities such as BIG bath, Gas heater, Braai area, Wood supply. Pity the pool water was so cold but that just means we will have to come back again in the warmer time of year.
Nice walks in the area and the baboons present while we were their didn't bother us at all. In fact the only 'intruder we had was another staffie from one of the other cottages that wandered into our cottage without even a sniff from Nina!
The cottages are far apart and you have privacy. Its also very quiet a great place to get out of the noise and bustle of town life.
We will be back soon. Thanks Guys"

"Anniversary Evening away"

(South Africa) Pearce

"We would personally like to thank the owners. It was without a doubt, the best time away - ever. Everything is clean and the cottage and pool are totally private. We did not want to leave, and are already planning to book for our anniversary next year, but the whole weekend this time!!! AWESOME!!"

"Perfect"

"My husband and I spent 2 nights in the surrounds of the most beautiful Stone Cottage, on Tierhoek farm. The cottage is a peaceful, quiet respite from the manic town world where cell phone reception is not available but the sounds and sights of the wildlife is a surety. Our favourite pass-time was watching the imposing mountains change colour with the passing sun, the reflection on the dam and the sights and smells of the fynbos all around.
A truly magical place where one comes to simply relax and reflect on life - we didn't move once we got there until it was time to go.
The cottage itself is comfortable and welcoming, the bed spacious and affords one a restful night's sleep but for us it was the outdoor shower and beautiful stand alone bath that really topped the stay.
We will definitely be back.
