The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating, going out of their way to assist were they could and to make us feel comfortable. I think the friendly nature of the manager on duty uplifts the staff as well.

We are also extremely impressed at how the lodge takes care of the animals on site.

We had booked a superior room and a silo for two couples. Unfortunately the power in the superior room went out on the Friday night, but Paula, the owner, was very quickly on the scene and when the problem was not quickly rectified she moved us into the adjacent unit which was the Executive Suite with Jacuzzi bath, which we then enjoyed for the rest of our stay. Most definitely value for money and highly recommended!"

"Our stay at Stornoway Lodge for 1 night was just what we needed. It is situated very close to nearby attractions like the Lion Park, Lanseria airport and Hartbeespoort, and is a mere 45min from Pretoria. The accommodation in the Superior Suites is luxurious and there is plenty of space in the unit, which had everything that we needed. Having our own patio was nice to relax and look out into their well maintained gardens. The small dam on the property is very picturesque and great for a walk. The place is peaceful and quiet, and an ideal getaway to rest and relax and explore the surrounding area.

If there were any negative points, it was that there was no meet & greet by the owners so it lost a bit of the personal touch, and the breakfast we requested the following morning was forgotten about. Other than that, this self-catering accommodation is recommended and we enjoyed our stay!
