My wife (79) and I (83 and not so agile anymore) had a wonderful 4 days with them. Both owners (he acting chef) and she (hostess from Germany) went out of their way to make us comfortable and helping us. The staff was most friendly. The meals were good, with even breakfast in the room!

The rooms had everything; the ornaments in the main building were original. Each room two easy chairs, something you seldom see in any lodge or hotel. The grounds remained bushy (back to nature), with a swimming pool in the rocks.

Just get the road fixed, and we come again!"

"I've always went to visit Kruger Park yearly on a day visit and come back to Highveld Mpumalanga late and very tired. However this time while searching for suitable accommodation with my wife we were firstly impressed by the reasonable quotation and quick feedback from Anja. That was the beginning of our best of the best customer service we received from the Gecko Lodge friendly management and staff. Our stay with Gecko Lodge the past two days was impressive and was finalised by having the best ever breakfast prepared by the husband owner himself. Will surely make use of this facility on our next visit. Having all rooms installed with TV's as rooms of improvement will be good investments.
