We were treated with the utmost courtesy and it was like staying with friends. We were given good advice on a choice of restaurants in the town and enjoyed two superb dinners as a result. Our breakfasts were adequate and well presented .
We are not surprised that work is in train to extend the accommodation available to meet demand. We wish we could have stayed longer. We compliment Suzannah and her team on their efforts. One final comment: it was a pleasure to stay in a town where the emphasis on security was low-key yet effective and residents of all backgrounds seemed at ease with one another."

The breakfasts were excellent with a good array of food to choose from.
The rooms were comfortable, my only complaint was that it did not have a fridge which we had in all our other guest houses. Our one regret is that the sun did not shine so that we could have taken advantage of their wonderful pool.

"With arrival in Swellendam, one of the most beautiful town's in the Western Cape, we slightly misunderstood the road signal to Aanhuizen Guest House.

When we arrived, we parked our vehicle and went direct ly to reception. There Rachel helped us very friendly and sufficiently, and explained to us how every thing is going to work. She gave us the key to our room and informed us where to have a nice supper, also how to get to the favorite restaurant in town.

Saturday morning we had a very nice breakfast, whereby you could chose anything on the menu and it was very nicely done.

I would definitely go back some time.

The peaceful area and the comfortable rooms ensure a good night's sleep and breakfast has variety and is quite sufficient to set you up for the day ahead. The pool is inviting but, as we were only able to stay in Swellendam for the one day, we were unable to take advantage of it.

Once we settled we then enjoyed our stay very much.
