With a sturdy ceiling fan and additional standing fan there was great air circulation.

Quaint braai area with lovely sturdy braai and beautiful garden really made for a delightful stay.

The owners were very helpful & friendly - going the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our stay, including gifts of beautiful avos from their private garden's tree, on our departure!

Lake St Lucia Lodge was just far away enough from the main town to ensure a peaceful stay, with resident hippos visiting the property. The lodge was a short walks distance to restaurants if you felt like walking.

"Our stay was magnificent, on our first night the hippo's came wondering by as close as 5 metres. The site has a very non-commercial feel, which compliments the whole St Lucia atmosphere, and makes it a great getaway from the city."

Although the unit is fully equipped, there are some minor maintenance work required:

Shower leaking water into rest of bath room, toilet seat loose.

Maybe they should invest in equipping the units with better qualty beds in the future. I do have a major back problem and found the bed a little too hard to sleep on. This is not a complaint, but a pesonal opionion and suggestion.

Over looking that, the stay there were great. Very quiet environment for a peacefull holiday.

Will definetly return there for another holiday.

The owners are passionate about accommodating their guests and went out of their way to make sure I was aware of everything that would captivate my interests. They were able to advise and even book the river cruise for me, saving the hassle of doing the research myself and saving me some money by knowing the local rates. The chalet was a perfect budget spec place to rest your head whilst enjoying all St Lucia had to offer. Having said that, I was not short for anything when preparing my own meals in the room either. The chalets are very good value for money and I hope to be back one day to spend more than just the one night!"
