"Apartment very luxurious, with all the latest kitchen gadgets and full sized appliances, including a full fridge with freezer and a dish-washer. Felt very much at home, even though I got bronchitis and had to spend all my time there. Lots of places to cuddle up, so would be good in winter, and with full French doors on lounge and main bedroom opening onto a very small veranda for summer. Black out curtains in bedrooms to shut out early morning sunlight. Towelling robes provided.

Value for money in Franschhoek absolutely amazing - this 2 bedroom luxury apartment was the same price as a good bed and breakfast. Full burglar alarm (we were not given code so we could not use this), safe, large lockable garage and security gates. We were given two sets of keys which meant we could come and go as we wanted.

On the third floor with narrow steps so carrying things a bit difficult. Washer and dryer in garage, so did not do washing as carrying up and down too problematic. Very high tech i.e. automatic bathroom lights which came on and we had no idea how to switch off; they were quite nice in the pitch dark night, but puzzling.

Cleaning not included, which was not stated in blurb; as we stayed 4 days I thought a complimentary clean mid-stay might have been nice, but at the price, could not really complain. A half day clean was offered at R120.
