Really a caring, professional team- from the owners, Dalene and Albertus Buckle,Juanita and the others, nothing was too much trouble. Granted they are in the midst of renovating. So ,it was with great relief that we returned to Monte Videos, comfortable rooms and stunning service. Definitely on the cards to return!"

"I found this guest house on the Internet not knowing anything about it, but I needn't have worried.

Monte Video is a jewel located just above Wellington providing spectacular views of both the town and the surrounding mountains. Dalene and Bertus are wonderfully welcoming hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Dalene even thoughtfully left umbrellas outside our doors when the rain made an appearance. Our suites (3) were all very tastefully decorated and provided everything you would need. Dalene's beautiful artworks can be seen in the rooms - another lovely personal touch. Breakfast was provided and this was perfect with extras like Dalene's delicious spinach and cheese muffins!

All in all, I can't say enough about Monte Video and it's hosts. Thank you and we hope to be back to visit you and your lovely part of the world again soon."

Our room (No 5) and the bathroom were spacious - very thoughtfully and tastefully decorated - spotlessly clean - with thoughtful extras - the seat in the shower! The lovely rusks - a nice selection of useful magazines for the area. One suggestion we would have is that due to the position of the room - on a corner - with a 'double front' - and passed by most guests - tinting of the windows would be a nice consideration for privacy if the blinds are left open. The staff were super - the breakfast cook was so eager to please and went out of her way to try and make the meal special. All in all Monte Video has a lot of potential - has been well thought out and planned - the finishing’s are good - the colour scheme neutral - great care is taken of the property to keep it ship shape - The Buckles deserve much success! We will be back one day!"

A breakfast containing everything you wish. We asked for their boerewors recipe and were told they could get us the spice from their butcher. When we returned a week later, they obviously had forgotten but immediately went with us to meet their butcher to get the spice. Absolutely recommendable, will definitely return when being next time in this area!!!"
