Anchorage is a Òwork in progressÓ. A new swimming pool had just been completed and a poolside lounge was awaiting furnishings. New paths had been laid. Given a year or so and this new venture will mature into a very nice guest house, meanwhile it is well worth a visit."

Beautifully appointed on the river, with a pool, recreation space, fruit trees, friendly dogs and light airy rooms that have everything you need for perfect comfort and relaxation, it is the perfect spot for regaining your balance. I was warmly welcomed by the lovely Annette and felt at home within minutes.

The kitchen has everything you will need for simple self-catering. Braai facilities are provided for each room and several restaurants are nearby which Annette will happily recommend and make reservations for.

Take a book, some work, your yoga mat, a case of good wine, a partner (although perhaps not all at the same time) - and spend some time at The Anchorage. You will not regret it for an instant. "

The lush environment alongside the river and the early morning sunrise was just absolutely beautiful; the setting of the rooms overlooking the river was breath-taking from sunrise to sunset; the pool was clean and very inviting! We also met the cutest, behaved, friendliest home pets ever, they were just adorable following us to the river as if they were checking that we are okay as well as keeping us company at night while we watching the sunset from the porch. It was really a wonderful experience that we won’t soon forget.
Our stay at the Anchorage was memorable and we would surely be back, hopefully soon.
