"We loved our overnight stay at 17 on Bird. The reception was excellent, and next best treat was that our room was beautifully cool, and felt great after the very high temperatures outside. The lovely little swimming pool was a refreshing feature to enjoy. An enjoyable view too was looking out at the bird park opposite and watching those swans, ducks, and even a small springbok amidst the 2-legged lot. Our dinner was really delicious, and was a wonderful treat enjoyed outside under the pergula. Rhodes was a most efficient and friendly head waiter, who took great care to make us comfortable and feel special. In the morning, it was an excellent breakfast spread, all much appreciated before further travels. We actually returned to this guest house on our return journey - going back home to Durban from Cape Town - and again enjoyed their wonderful hospitality. We can highly recommend this establishment to others. Everything was of high quality and guests feel well-cared for.

"Stayed overnight on a busy weekend, while driving back to Johannesburg. Friendly staff, good breakfast offering (although a bit on the pricey side) and most of all, a good night's sleep. We found it quiet (off the busy N1) and comfortable - would definitely recommend as an overnight stop."
