"We spent two lovely nights at Blue Gum in early August, staying in one of the cottages with a gorgeous view over the mountain behind.

There are loads of positives but for us the most impressive thing was how friendly and helpful all the staff are, without exception. The decor and atmosphere of the house and grounds is classic and comfortable. Our cottage was beautifully appointed, and the information file provided was a really good read, the best we'd seen on our trip. The food was gorgeous: the breakfast buffet was out of this world, afternoon scones very welcome and the evening meals of very good quality.

And Zane and Anton the owners could not do enough for us, suggesting and arranging activities which were spot on for what we wanted. The Panthera sanctuary just five minutes away was excellent, and the shark diving company Blue Gum recommended was by far the best set up that we could see (we had an amazing trip to see the Great Whites).

The only thing that we think could be improved is the piped music which haunts you in every public space. It is on from morning to night, is too loud, and on one memorable day was the same single piece of Mozart over and over again. This would be an easy win for Blue Gum and would make it completely perfect!
