Hyena Hangout is your ideal bushveld home away from home in Marloth Park and has a minimum charge for one cottage per night. We will require a refundable breakage deposit.

Comfortable, secure and blissfully quiet, your only visitors are the animals that call Marloth Park their home. We are constantly delighted by visits from zebra, giraffe, bushbuck and kudu. Not forgetting the tortoise, monitor lizard or the energetic nag-apies.

Cool off with a cocktail in the splash pool, or unwind with a book on the secure deck. There is nothing to beat the tranquillity of the African bush, a place to refresh your soul and restore your love of life.

Marloth Park is a wildlife conservancy, protecting all the non-threatening wild game, which roam freely amongst the dwellings. The impala, blouwildebees, nyala and warthog wander freely while the Big 5 are restricted to Kruger.

The Crocodile River is under 1km from Hyena Hangout, where you can spend the early evening with sundowners enjoying the prospect of seeing the elephants bathing in the river or a lion kill. Buffalo, rhino, waterbuck, crocodile and hippo are also a common sight, together will a myriad of water birds and the amazing fish eagle.

Perfectly situated 20km from Kruger National Park and a short drive to the Swaziland and Mozambique borders.

Hyena Hangout has 2 x 8 sleeper cottages each with the following: A main bedroom with air conditioning, a double bed, ensuite bathroom with a tub and a shower. The 2nd bedroom has a double or three-quarter bed ensuite with a shower. The bathroom and kitchen have a hot water gas geyser. Upstairs there is a double bed and 2 single beds in the large open loft area. The beds have linen and pillows; blankets and duvets are supplied in winter.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, microwave, kettle, toaster, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Downstairs is a comfortable lounge, leading out onto the patio, braai area and a large splash pool for those hot summer afternoons.

Evenings are spent around the campfire, watching the sparks fly into the dusk, with a million stars to decorate the night sky.
