"The Room with a View for Two accommodated us for 5 days, a couple of middle-aged people from Johannesburg. It was most relaxing and homely - from the host's warm welcome, the beautifully arranged fresh flowers, the warm Mohair blankets to snuggle up on the sofa, and the very comfortable beds for a good night sleep! The room is fully equipped for sure, including the kitchen and bathroom items.

One can easily stay weeks or months!

"My partner and I stayed at Room With a View For Two for 8 nights. This was a return visit, but on the previous occasion we stayed for just 3 nights. The room is comfortable and nicely decorated and the views all around are beautiful. We are 4 years older since our last visit and into our seventies now and these are my comments:

Our hosts were very pleasant and helpful. The owner is working on upgrading the place.

There are some steep and rather precarious stone steps down to the room. One has to be an active and agile elderly person to walk up and down those steps every day and handle one's luggage at the beginning and end of one's stay.

A double bed rather than 2 three-quarter beds pushed together would have been more comfortable.

With the current water situation in Cape Town one is conscious of every drop that is used. I found the set up in the bathroom very cumbersome. A hand shower attached to the bath would have streamlined everything and conserved more water.


If you want a pretty place for a couple of days and you are young and fit this is a great place for you!

"We love this cosy little spot on the hill. We have visited it twice and both times have found it cosy, warm, bright and above all CLEAN. Attention to detail from supplies for a little cuppa, fresh flowers and candles in case of load shedding. The owners are friendly and keen to make sure we have everything we need. The view is spectacular, and the nature reserve above provides an opportunity for a quick hike and even greater views. We loved coming back and will be back again soon."
