"We arrived late on Friday and we left on Sunday. The room where we stayed (at the top of the lodge) was one of the best I've ever seen. A private terrace overlooking Thabazimbi, big corner bath and big showers, fridge and DStv.

We used the lodge mostly as a base while visiting the nearby Marakele National Park.

The town was a little dead at night, with the only noise coming from some club playing loud music in the middle of the night, but we always came back to our place so tired after visiting the surroundings that we couldn't care less!

From the effecient booking procedure to the temperate weather conditions, the week-end away was worth recommending. Although situated in the town of Thabazimbi, Maroela Lodge is perched on the edge of a koppie, so the unobstructed view and the presence of monkeys in the surrounding trees, gives one the feeling of isolation and privacy.
The room and bathroom were of a high standard, comfortable bed and loads of hot water. The intimate dining room catered well for our breakfast. Thank you "RoomsForAfrica" and our hosts for affording 2 weary city slickers a rejuvenating opportunity."
