"We had a great stay at Brackenhills. When we arrived Simon had already lit a big fire for braai for us. The whole place is absolutely breathtaking. The tents are spacious and provide you with everything you need. The beds were the most comfortable ones that we had so far in SA. We especially loved the outdoor bathroom. On the next day we enjoyed a great and tatsy breakfast. Simon even took us on a Jeep trip to his buffaloes. We'll definitively come back to this beautiful place with this most welcoming and friendly hosts!"

We are def coming again on a different time of the year to experience it in a diff climate! The buffaloes are awesome and you get to go REALLY CLOSE and the accommodation is top top and so welcoming! Our hiking trail was magnificent to see the redwood trees and the rock pool as ur savior in the heat!

"Simon and Lee were the most welcoming and accommodating hosts our group could have asked for. Everything at the campsite was ready for us when we arrived, wood for the fire, a fully stocked kitchen, and charming and cozy tents. Our group enjoyed a braai and a beautiful evening dinner at the large central table on the campsite and enjoyed a nice quiet evening by the fire (with some playtime with the adorable dog Sir Montgomery). In the morning, Simon and Lee took us on a drive to see the buffalo having their morning meal and told us all about the conservation and breeding project the reserve supports. It was a one-of-a-kind experience and they were so generous to share all of their knowledge with us. I would highly recommend a stay at Brakenhills! It was situated in a beautiful landscape with great hiking and quite a luxurious camping experience, all made possible by two excellent hosts. "

"What a unique experience! Not close to main road but every kilometer worth the drive to this unique bush camp. Our hosts were excellent! Very comfortable overnight stay with beautiful surroundings! Do take food for a nice braai! Only problem.....we should have stay there for a whole weekend!"
