"What can we say? It's one of those places that, at first glance, appear to be nothing special. Cheap accomodation near the Naukluft Namib. But it's much more than that. We stayed for 3 nights and had the change to get to know Karsten, the owner, a bit better. He build the place 8 years ago by himself and is the perfect host. He will make sure you feel ok, all the time. And he's a great cook also.

We got stuck with the car at sunset near Sesriem (150km) and he helped us out, came to help us.

The bungalows are simple decorative but really good enough and who needs a perfect expensive interior, when your outside in the sun all the time. Great showers! For sure we will return to Capricorn another time."

"Capricorn Rest Camp is a quiet, relaxing, environment conscious place. It is clean and adequate. The owner cooks a tasteful meal. Capricorn Rest Camp is a good starting point for walking in the Naukluft. We loved staying there."
