Rorke’s Drift Lodge, tucked up against the Sinqindi Mountain in KwaZulu-Natal, has before it a breath-taking expanse of Zululand that visitor’s to South Africa will not easily experience anywhere else. The Lodge is a tastefully converted farm house that resides in an expansive 5 hectare garden with rolling lawns on a 1000 acre property.

Our very comfortable accommodation consists of self-catering units that have every comfort added, from cable TV to bathroom amenities. Guests can either book on a strictly self-catering basis or they can order in their food from our kitchens. Meals are served in the privacy of each self-contained unit.

Each unit has its own free parking either under roof or next to the unit.

We also have an in-house guide who can take guests on a guided tour of the Battlefields.

Guests can also avail themselves of our horse riding activities, early morning birding walks with a FAGASA guide, fishing trips and walking/hiking on the property. Keen mountain bikers and off road biking can be organised.

"My wife and I stayed for 3 weeks in south Africa travelling up to KwaZula - Natal and back along the Garden route to Capetown via Port Elizebeth. We stayed in many very pleasent B&B's, but I have to say that Rorkes Drift Lodge was one of the best experiences. Although perhaps not the most luxurious accommodation in the world, the views and feeling of remoteness were something that we will remember for a very long time. Paul and Christine made us very welcome in their home and joined us and the other guests for dinner each evening. Paul's knowledge of the battle fields is very extensive and we left much the wiser. A great value venue and well worth a visit. "

"We had a wonderful few days at Rorke's Drift Lodge. Lodge is simply furnished, has a wonderful view of Isandlwana and Zululand valleys. Food was good and different. We enjoyed Paul's guiding and his humour. Christine and Paul run a tight ship."
