"A unique experience of the Wild Coast"

"A good old family holiday. Relaxing, plenty to do and see - from walks in the forest with countless birds and the most amazing array of butterflies; mountain biking, canoeing / rafting across the Mbashee River and in the lagoon, walking on the beach (completely to ourselves on some days). The coastal wildlife was phenomenal.

The hotel is great; special moments include Sylvia's welcome, and the discovery of a real coffee grinding / making / cappuccino machine. Food good and plentiful, and some great wines available from the bar. Our room was a rustic rondavel, that adds to the charm of the place - concrete floors, big baths and the odd gecko.

Our son was seldom seen as he was kept fully entertained by various kids activities. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay, and I now know why there are so many regulars who go year after year. I too will go back...... and leave the world behind!"
